Review: China Glaze Haunting Set
Hello Hello
Now that it is closer to All Hallows Eve (or Halloween, whatever) I decided to do my China Glaze Halloween set review.
These are the polishes that were included in the set that I bought. From left to right are: It's Alive, Ghoulish Glow, Black Mesh (crackle) and Fast Forward Top Coat.
First up is It's Alive, which is a dark olive green base with yellowy green hexagonal and micro glitter. It kinda reminds me of puke, but in a totally awesome halloween-y way. I applied two coats but it was still a bit too patchy for my liking and could have done with a third.
This is Ghoulish Glow on its own and over It's Alive. It has a slight light green shinner to it but basically just looks like a clear coat when applied on its own. When it's over It's Alive it seems to make the green look more dull, but I still think it looks quite cool. It dried suprisingly quickly and glows in the dark really well if you expose it to enough sunlight.
This is Black Mesh over Ghoulish Glow over It's Alive. It's a good black crackle and I think I prefer it to the other crackles I have tried, such as BarryM. I didn't really like the look of the shatter over the glitter as it made it look much darker and you couldn't see as much of the awesome glitter so I only did it to my pinky nail. And, I also tried the Top Coat (which was in last years set) and I still don't like it. It has a very harsh smell and also makes my polish flake off so I'll stick with Seche Vite.
Recommendations: It's Alive, Ghoulish Glow
Regrets: Fast Forward Top Coat.
Thanks for reading,
KraziGirli

Haul: China Glaze Haunting
Well we all know that Halloween is fast aproaching, I myself cannot WAIT! Anyway, today I recieved my China Glaze Haunting Collection in the post and I was SOO excited when I heard it had arrived.

I, personally, think that the packaging is pretty. Anyway, the set came with four colours.

Left to Right: It's Alive, Ghoulish Glow, Black Mesh & Fast Forward Top Coat.
This set is good, I really love It's Alive. It looks like a better Zombie Zest from last years collection. Actually, It's Alive is what I wanted Zombie Zest to be, even though Zombie Zest is a good colour. I am particulary excited to use Ghoulish Glow. I literally put it to the light for thirty seconds and when I cupped my hands around it, it was glowing briliantly. I had been wanting Black Mesh from the Crackle collection, I had every other colour except that one. Finally, the only downside to this set was that it had the same top coat as last years. And I didn't really like it, maybe I will now? Anyway, I will do a review closer to Halloween to get people into the mood. Have a good day.

Review: Rio Nail Foils
Hey guys,
This is my final opinion on the Rio nail foils kit and, I really REALLY hate it! Seriously. I've had them for about a year now and I can't get them to look nice no matter what I do!
This is a picture of the kit (which I got from Google Images) it has very clear instructions on how to use the product too.
I've tried them on fake nails, natural nails, with a base coat, without a base coat, a base colour, no base colour, I've tried all the foils, I've played around with timing, colours, application, tools, EVERYTHING! And all they end up looking like is this:
The one on the left is the gold foil, It applied okayish after much trial and error but still had patches. Then, as soon as I applied the top coat that was supplied in the kit it looked like this. The one on the right is usually how they end up looking, I apply the foil, rub it down and this is how much transfers. And it leaves a horrible residue too.
I don't understand, is it the adhesive? Is it the time? Is it the foil? Base coat? Application? I wouldn't suggest buying this kit considering it was £25. If you want to try foiling I would suggest getting a cheaper kit so that if it doesn't work you won't have wasted that much money.

So Frustrated!!!
Today I made a trip to the shops to pay the hefty price of £25 for the Rio nail foil kit. I had done my research on it and looked up other people's reviews on this kit and average nail foils. The overall opinion was that nail foiling is good and very easy to use and that the Rio kit was worth every penny. Upon arriving home I immediatly opened the kit, read the instructions and watched the DVD. (Kit Picture Below)
This is what is inside the foiling kit. (Picture taken from google)
The only thing they failed to mention was the fact that you have to be so very precise about everything you do otherwise it looks crappy. Hopefully as I get more experienced with the kit I will actually be able to get it to work. So far I have done around 9 tries and every time I applied a different foil and changed the things I had done before to get it to work. No such luck so far but because of my frustration at the stupid thing I painted my nails China Glaze 108 Degrees and Blue Iguana. Hopefully the review will be up in the next couple of days and I will give the kit a few more tries before I give up on it and write the review. I guess this is more of an update really. Oh well.

Review: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
I just have to say one thing. Wow. I LOVE this top coat.
Picture of the bottle (taken from google)
I painted my hands with China Glaze Good Witch? with two thick layers. I didn't wait for them to dry and I put on one coat of Seche Vite. Good Witch? is a dazzling pink glitter but it does leave a bit of a gritty texture on your nails. Usually with my normal Sally Hansen top coat I have to wait for the layers of varnish to dry and then put on two coats of top coat to get it smooth. With Seche Vite I used one coat and it made it silky smooth. By the time you have put top coat on all fingers I guarantee that the nail varnish will be dry. Overall, this top coat is amazing and has no magor flaws. The only thing I noticed is that it has a strong smell and gives a bit of shrinkage at the tip of the nail but i can put up with that. I would recommend that you buy this top coat.

Coming Soon..
Hello,
On 15th June it was my birthday. That means I now have a few more nail varnishes to review so this is kinda a haul/coming soon post.
Anyway, I got:
China Glaze - 108 Degrees, Blue Iguana, Papaya Punch, Cha Cha Cha, Broken Hearted.
Orly - Space Cadet.
OPI - Russian Navy.
After this I then ordered more nail varnishes with my birthday money. I got:
China Glaze - Pom Pom, Endurance, Encouragement, Empowerment.
Seche Clear & Seche Vite.
Then my friend asked me to review some of my China Glaze collection which is:
China Glaze - Swing Baby, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Turned Up Turqouise, Frostbite, Coconut Kiss, White Cap.
I will try to do them all, no promises. I will probably get some more nail varnishes soon. Oh, did I mention that Space Cadet is my first Orly nail varnish? Well, it is. Super excited to do a full mani with it. Look forward to posting as soon as i can. KraziGirli

My First OPI Is....
Yes, the time has finally come for you to find out which nail varnish I got. Can you guess from this picture?

Yes, my first OPI is Teal The Cows Come Home.

My first impressions? I love OPI yet I think that China Glaze is still my favourite nail varnish. This nail varnish has a lovely formula and dried rediculousy fast. It is a beautiful colour but I did get a bit of cuticle drag on my right hand. Oh well, my best hand is ALWAYS my left. Anyway, I am glad I picked Teal The Cows Come Home. It is beautiful and has an AWESOME name too. Oh, how it made me chuckle when I picked it up. Took my friends a while to get it though.. Sorry it didn't come earlier but I had a bit of trouble when I fell off a horse and hurt my arm, I waited a while so it would at least look decent. Well, I already have my eye on the many next OPIs to come. See you next time.

My First OPI
Yes, yes, yes. That is right dear readers, I have finally bought my FIRST OPI nail varnish. Even though I have plenty of other brands I could never really afford OPIs where I live, but I finally got my first one in Sallys. Awesome days when you get your first. I will do a post on it soon as it is a school day so I can't paint my nails :( You will just have to wait until that post to find out what colour I got...

Nail Varnish Reviews. A Lot of Them.
Well Hello, Dearest Readers,
To start the new year I am going to be doing a ton of reviews of the nail varnishes I got in the month of December. I'm warning you now, there are a lot so they may not be in the same post.
The first varnishes are from a brand called Sienna, which I think is a UK exclusive brand but I'm not sure. Unfortunatly, these do not have names.

This is a nice bronzey colour which has gold micro glitter in it. It has a frost finish and is unlike anything in my collection.

This is a cool reddish orange colour with gold micro glitter in it. Also a frost finish, takes quite a while to dry unlike the other one and both have a nice smooth finish for glitter varnishes.
My next brand is Miss Sporty. With these I'm not 100 percent sure if the names are right so I put the codes with them.

I think this is Miss Sporty Paparazzi (326). It is a hot pink varnish with a creme finish and only needs one coat. It does need a base coat as it can stain your nails. Overall it is quite unique as it isn't the standard hot pink as it is a bit lighter.

This one is Miss Sporty Flash Dance (105). It is a light pinkish purple colour with holographic glitter in it which my camera didn't pick up well. It is suprisingly opaque on the first coat but has a gritty finish so you need at least 2 coats of top coat.

This is Miss Sporty Intimatley (450). It is an eggplant colour with a very noticable purple duochrome. Unfortunatly, after three coats it was still really patchy so I left is as I don't like applying more than three coats on my swatch wheel and because of this I have been very hesitant to wear it.
The next varnishes came in a pack which I got for Christmas. I couldn't find a brand name on them but I have the names of the polishes.

This is Dusty. It is a reddish pink coolour with micro gold glitter. It has a smooth finish and is very pretty and unique.

This is Coral, the colour is true to its name with a gold duochrome. Not that unique but still nice.

This is Plum. A clear base with hot pink, light pink and silver micro glitter in it. Has a gritty finish but it is worth the trouble for this gorgeous colour.

This is Universe. Mid-tone purple with holographic glitter. My favourite colour out of all of them. So gorgeous.

This is Gun Metal. Charcol colour with holographic glitter. Super unique.

This is Dusk. It is a beautiful silver with, yes you guessed it, holographic glitter.

This is Ivory. White with yet more holographic glitter.

This is Ruby. Clear base with hot pink, teal, gold and silver micro glitter. Super unique.

This is Bright Silver. Silver base with silver glitter. Good dupe for China Glaze The Ten Man.

This is Eggplant Frost. Similar to Miss Sporty Intimatley but has better coverage. Eggplant purple with teal and purple micro glitter.

This is Magenta. It is a dusty rose pink with holographic glitter. I love this one.

Last but not least is Mission. Hot pink with silver and pink micro glitter.
For the ones in the set they are all truer to colour in the pictures of the bottles. They all needed two coats and the glitter ones needed more to get completley opaque. Overall it is a really unique set and worth picking up but once again I think it may be a UK exclusive. I know you can get it in Boots. Thanks for reading this if you did read all of it.
