Nail Varnish Reviews. A Lot of Them.

Well Hello, Dearest Readers,
To start the new year I am going to be doing a ton of reviews of the nail varnishes I got in the month of December. I'm warning you now, there are a lot so they may not be in the same post.
The first varnishes are from a brand called Sienna, which I think is a UK exclusive brand but I'm not sure. Unfortunatly, these do not have names.

This is a nice bronzey colour which has gold micro glitter in it. It has a frost finish and is unlike anything in my collection.

This is a cool reddish orange colour with gold micro glitter in it. Also a frost finish, takes quite a while to dry unlike the other one and both have a nice smooth finish for glitter varnishes.

My next brand is Miss Sporty. With these I'm not 100 percent sure if the names are right so I put the codes with them.

I think this is Miss Sporty Paparazzi (326). It is a hot pink varnish with a creme finish and only needs one coat. It does need a base coat as it can stain your nails. Overall it is quite unique as it isn't the standard hot pink as it is a bit lighter.

This one is Miss Sporty Flash Dance (105). It is a light pinkish purple colour with holographic glitter in it which my camera didn't pick up well. It is suprisingly opaque on the first coat but has a gritty finish so you need at least 2 coats of top coat.

This is Miss Sporty Intimatley (450). It is an eggplant colour with a very noticable purple duochrome. Unfortunatly, after three coats it was still really patchy so I left is as I don't like applying more than three coats on my swatch wheel and because of this I have been very hesitant to wear it.

The next varnishes came in a pack which I got for Christmas. I couldn't find a brand name on them but I have the names of the polishes.

This is Dusty. It is a reddish pink coolour with micro gold glitter. It has a smooth finish and is very pretty and unique.

This is Coral, the colour is true to its name with a gold duochrome. Not that unique but still nice.

This is Plum. A clear base with hot pink, light pink and silver micro glitter in it. Has a gritty finish but it is worth the trouble for this gorgeous colour.

This is Universe. Mid-tone purple with holographic glitter. My favourite colour out of all of them. So gorgeous.

This is Gun Metal. Charcol colour with holographic glitter. Super unique.

This is Dusk. It is a beautiful silver with, yes you guessed it, holographic glitter.

This is Ivory. White with yet more holographic glitter.

This is Ruby. Clear base with hot pink, teal, gold and silver micro glitter. Super unique.

This is Bright Silver. Silver base with silver glitter. Good dupe for China Glaze The Ten Man.

This is Eggplant Frost. Similar to Miss Sporty Intimatley but has better coverage. Eggplant purple with teal and purple micro glitter.

This is Magenta. It is a dusty rose pink with holographic glitter. I love this one.

Last but not least is Mission. Hot pink with silver and pink micro glitter.

For the ones in the set they are all truer to colour in the pictures of the bottles. They all needed two coats and the glitter ones needed more to get completley opaque. Overall it is a really unique set and worth picking up but once again I think it may be a UK exclusive. I know you can get it in Boots. Thanks for reading this if you did read all of it.

China Glaze Foxy Review

Hello Readers,
Today I am going to review one of my favourite China Glaze colours. It is from the Vintage Vixen collection, which I was pretty excited about from the pictures I had seen online already but in person the polishes are almost indescribable because they are so unique and amazing. Anyway, on to the pictures. (They so do not to this polish justice.)

Foxy is very hard to write about as it is so unique and unlike any colour I own. I managed to come to the conclusion that it is a burgundy frost with red, orange and gold shimmer in it. In the bottle it actually looks brighter than it is on nails but I prefer darker polishes anyway so I was happy about that. In the sun it becomes a brighter red with flashes of gold in it but because of where I live the day I took the swatches I had no sun unfortunately so I can’t show you how amazing this polish really is. It took two coats to get it opaque and dried quite quickly. However, in direct light you can see the streaks from the brush, which I wasn’t too keen on but amazing colours like this have to have flaws. It doesn’t chip easily but stays tacky for a while so you need to set aside a time when you can paint your nails where you can leave them for a while. Overall this polish is amazing and worth the money, it only has one flaw and the colour is amazing. I am defiantly going to try and get the rest of the collection. Talk to you soon,

Rimmel London Fruities Polish Review

Hey guys,
Sometime last week I bought two of the Rimmel London Fruities nail polishes but the shop I went to didn't have all of them in stock so I picked up the two that they had and I thought that I would do a review on them for you. They are called Cranberry Zest (066) and Lemon Drop (058).

Above is a swatch of Lemon Drop, I thought this was a cool colour because it was the only yellow I had like it. It is a pastel yellow and is very pretty. Really the colour is the only thing good about it. It is very sheer, which I expected, so it took four coats to get it to look decent and even then I didn't like it very much. It takes for ever to dry and stays tacky for ages so you can't do much while it's drying so I would recommend painting your nails while watching a movie or something. It also is very patchy even on the fourth coat which I didn't like. It smells nice, fresh and lemony, but it is very faint even on the fourth coat and only stays like that for an hour or so until you wouldn't know it was a fruit smelling polish. Also when applying it is smells stronger than all of the nail polishes I have so I would recommend having the window open so you don't get a headache. Also it chips a lot and with these polishes you arn't supposed to put a top coat on because it masks the smell so I thought it was really bad because they are supposed to be chip resistant. A plus is that it comes off really easily.

Above is a swatch of Cranberry Zest, The colour isn't very unique which I was disapointed at. It is a redish pink colour. It is very opaque, which I wasnt expecting as I had tried Lemon Drop firsy, I did two coats because I have long nails but people with short nails could get away with one. It drys quickly, which I was happily suprised at and doesn't smudge whilst drying so you could paint your nails and then go and do things. It wasn't patchy at all which was good because the other one was very patchy. I really like how it smells but it is very strong which I liked but other people, such as my friend, didn't like but to dull down the smell a bit you can apply a thin layer of top coat and can still smell it. It stays smelling until around 3 or 4 days later but if you did put a top coat on it will only stay for 1 or 2. This nail polish does not chip so it doesn't need a top coat but you can add one if you want to subdue the smell. The only major bad thing about this polish is that it takes forever to take it off and it stains all the skin around the nail and the nail while taking it off. It looks like you have put a pink nail polish on your nail even when you do use a base coat.

Overall I would recommend that you get Cranberry Zest as it is very good and only has one flaw. I would not recommend buying Lemon Drop as its flaws out weight the good things about it. Thanks for reading.

Loads of China Glaze Reviews

Hey guys,
I got some new China Glaze nail varnishes the other day so I thought that I would do a review on them for you, they are from the Wizard of Oz collection, Poolside collection and then one normal colour. The nail varnishes I bought from Wizard of Oz was China Glaze Good Witch? (859), The Ten Man (856), Cowardly Lyin' (855), Dorothy Who? (857) and Ruby Pumps (182). The Poolside ones i got are China Glaze Sun Worshiper (874) and Towel Boy Toy (877). The only one i got from the main collection is In The Lime Light (1009). They are really great colours and i reccommend that you get all of them! (just to let you know i put the swatches on fake nails because my nails are a bit messed up at the moment)

The one above is Good Witch?, it is a light pink with pink and silver glitter in it. It needs 2 coats to get it opaque, it is a really girly fresh colour and looks great when applied on all nails. It doesn't chip easily and it doesn't dry with a funny texture which i have found with most glitters. It doesn't smudge and it drys really quickly. I really like this colour and i think it would look good to wear in the summer with a tan.

This one is The Ten Man, it is a silver with silver glitter. It also needs 2 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and looks great when time has been put into it to make it look nice. It doesn't chip easily, but unlike Good Witch? it takes a bit longer to dry so it does smudge a little and stays a bit sticky for a while. It also does not have a funny texture for a glitter and it looks like you have melted metal and put it on your nails, except it has more glitter in it than metal ever would.

This one is Cowardly Lyin', it is a gold with gold glitter. It also needs 2 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and i think it would look really nice at the beach when wearing a black bikini. It doesn't chip easily and drys really quickly, i think it was the fasted drying out of all of them. It also does not have a funny texture for a glitter and overall it is a really great colour.

This one is Dorothy Who?, it is a dark blue with all different shades of blue glitter. It also needs 2 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and it is my favourite colour out of the ones that i bought. It doesn't chip easily and drys fast but not as fast as some of the others, it remains quite sticky for a while so it can be very annoying because you cant do much whilst waiting for it to dry. It also does not have a funny texture for a glitter and overall it is a really great colour, i think im in love with it.

This one is Ruby Pumps, it is a red with silver and red glitter. It also needs 2 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and it is my second favourite colour out of the ones that i bought. It doesn't chip easily and drys fast but not as fast as some of the others. It also does not have a funny texture for a glitter and overall it is a really great colour, i think im in love with this one too.

This one is Sun Worshiper, it is a neon orange. It needs 3 or 4 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and it is very neon, it also drys matte which i didnt expect but i realised most of the neon colours dry matte so i will be expecting it with other. It chips easily without a top coat so you will have to use a matte top coat if you want to keep it matte and drys quite slow. Because it drys slowly it takes a long time to get all coats dry and they also stay sticky so you cant really do anything whilst they are wet.

This one is Towel Boy Toy, it is a neon blue. It needs 3 or 4 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and it is very neon, it also drys matte which i was expecting with this one. It chips easily without a top coat so you will have to use a matte top coat once again if you want to keep it matte and drys faster than Sun Worshiper but is still quite slow. This one is also a bit sticky so you cant really do much whilst they are wet.

This one is In The Lime Light, it is a neon green. It needs 2 or 3 coats to get it opaque. It is a really good colour and it is very neon, it also drys matte which i was expecting with this one also. It chips easily without a top coat so you will have to use a matte top coat once again if you want to keep it matte and drys faster than Sun Worshiper and Towel Boy Toy but is still quite slow. This one is also a bit sticky so you cant really do much whilst they are wet, like the others.

Thanks for reading all of this if you did, i hope it was useful and enjoy. Thanks.

China Glaze Nail Varnishes Review

Hey guys,
I got some new China Glaze nail varnishes the other day so I thought that I would do a review on them for you. The nail varnishes I bought was China Glaze Purple Panic (1008) and Awakening (2203) and they are both really great colours. I love them and I've been wearing them soo much!

The one above is Purple Panic, it is a neon pink that goes purple in the light, it was hard to capture that with my camera so im sorry about that. Also it needs 3 coats to get it opaque but in this I had only done two, thats why it looks a bit bad. It is a really good summery colour and looks great when applied on all nails and has had time put into it to make it look nice. It doesn't chip easily and it drys matte, which I wasn't expecting but when i saw it had dried matte it made me like the colour even more. I've had it on for a long time and you can keep it on for a long time before you have to redo them.

This one is Awakening, it is a purply plum colour that goes gold in the light, it looks like a sunset on your nails, not that my rubbish camera could capture it. It also needs 3 coats to get it opaque but in this I had only done two, and it had smudged a bit because I rushed it to do a swatch and it looks really messy and horrible, not the colour the way I painted it, sorry about that too. It is a really good colour and looks great when time has been put into it to make it look nice. It doesn't chip easily, like Purple Panic but unlike Purple Panic and it drys a creme. I had it on for three days before I had to take it off for school but during those three days it hadn't smudged or chipped and it had looked like I had just put it on. I really recommend these two colours.

China Glaze Lubu Heels Nail Varnish Review

Hey guys,
Yesterday my nail varnish arrived in the post and I thought that I would do a review on it for you. The nail varnish I bought was China Glaze Lubu Heels (601) and it is AMAZING!! I love it and i've only had it for one day!

I really love this colour but I couldn't capture it that well with my camera, for those of you that don't know Lubu Heels is a black polish with red glitter in it, it takes two coats for it to become opaque and it takes like 2 minutes to dry for each coat, I don't really know about chippage yet but i've had it on for one day and it hasn't chipped at all which is really good. Most people will think its black ploish until it hits the light and they see the red glitter. Im really impressed with this colour and I really recommend that you buy it.

BarryM and Rimmel London Nail Varnsih Review

Hey guys,
So last week sometime I bought four new nail varnishes and i thought that i would do a review on them for you. Three of them are from BarryM and the other one is a Rimmel London. The colours i bought from BarryM are Nail Paint in Red Glitter (150), Acid Yellow (300) and Mint Green (304). The Rimmel London colour is Grey Matter (805).

My favourite BarryM nail polish is the Acid Yellow (above) In the bottle the nail polish looks like a greeny yellow colour but on the nail it is a very neon yellow. You only have to apply one coat of it, which is good, but it takes a really long time for it to dry and once it is dry it chips really easily. Other than the chipping and drying it is a really good colour.

My next favourite BarryM nail polish is Mint green (above) in my picture it looks more blue but thats because i have really bad lighting in it. Anyway, this is a really nice green colour but to get it opaque you have to do two coats of it. However this nail polish doesn't take long to dry and it doesn't chip easily either. The downside is that it was a bit thick when i first used it so i had to use some nail polish thinner on it, but now it works really well.

My least favourite BArryM nail polish is the Red Glitter (above). Although it is a good colour you have to give it four coats to get it opaque, also my mum bought it for me because i ordered China Glaze Ruby Pumps and she thought it would be a good dupe. It is not. I did each coat and had to wait one hour for each coat to dry which meant i was sitting in front of the TV for four hours not being able to move my hands. Once it had dried they had all gone horrible because of how long it took. When i woke up the next day by the time i had breakfast 7 fingers had lost all the nail polish on it because it all comes off in one big chunk. This nail polish is rubbish. Maybe its just mine? i dunno but i wouldn't recommend that you buy it. it is just a red glitter and the China Glaze Ruby Pumps is much better, you should buy that one.

My last nail polish is the Rimmel London Grey Matter (above). It is a very nice grey creme, however the sales assistant in the shop told me it was a matte but it is not and i really wanted a matte grey as i already have grey cremes. I tried it anyway on all my nails and it is actually better than all the other grey cremes i have. It dries in like a minute and you only need one coat of it, it doesn't leave streak marks on the nail of where the brush was and im happy about that. It doesn't chip easily and stayed on for like 3 days before i had to redo my nails. Overall i would recommend that you buy this nail varnish, it is a good addition to any collection. I still want my matte grey though, oh well. Does anyone know of any good ones? if so let me know. Thanks.
